Aari is a site-specific, spatial installation in Oulu Art Museum. The installation entangles itself in the features of the museum building and investigates the transformation of a place.
Aari includes collections of thoughts and unfinished arrangements composed mostly out of found or unwanted objects. Chaos, chance and order take turn in the landscape built inside the space. A collection of meaningful places in Oulu was marked on the map projected on the wall and in the blue guest books on the floor.
Aari was part of Oulu Art Museum´s Checkpoint Leonardo -exhibition and Sense of place -project by MSL ( Union of Rural Education and Culture.
